The land of Tyrellion is a calm, settled kingdom of verdant pastures and bustling cities. But it wasn’t always so – a hundred years ago, a dark cult of sorcerers tried to overthrow the King. In a bloody war, the forces of the five evil Mages were defeated by a wizard named Melian. After turning the wicked Mages to stone, Melian cast a powerful spell that drained all the magic out of the realm, ensuring that wizards would never trouble Tyrellion again.

But when young street urchin Lot sneaks into a forbidden tower, he accidentally breaks the Amulet of Melian, and magic pours back into Tyrellion. The spell binding the five Mages is broken and the evil sorcerers escape and scatter across the realm. Newly-imbued with magical powers by the amulet, only Lot has the power to sense magic, and it falls to him to track them down.

To help Lot with this dangerous task, the King gathers a group of would-be heroes – the Mage Hunters. Their epic quest will take them across the length and breadth of the realm as they strive to find and defeat the Mages before the dark wizards can plunge Tyrellion into a new war…
